Hi, my name is Chelsie Hasty!
I am a licensed professional clinical mental health counselor (LPCC). I was born and raised in Mount Vernon, KY and love being a part of
the small town, close knit community. I work with kids, adolescents, adults, couples and
families, but my specialty and passion is working with younger kids and incorporating
play techniques into sessions. I have worked several years with children in many
settings that include in home, in school and in office. I like to collaborate with my clients
to identify their internal strengths to build resiliency, coping tools and resources to better
navigate life’s challenges. I do use various theoretical approaches as I like to cater my
approach to each individual client to best meet that client’s needs. Some of the common
therapy approaches I like to use are Cognitive Behavioral, Person Centered and
Existentialism focusing on aspects of mindfulness, family systems, and resiliency. When providing services, I believe in providing the most authentic, safe and supportive
environment for services to be the most beneficial for my clients to heal and to learn the
tools to live a more fulfilling life. Many would say I am genuine, compassionate,
dependable, relatable, empathetic, and down to earth with a sense of humor. I am
family-oriented, so most of my spare time is spent with family, including my sweet dogs
Bandit and Shorty. Some of my interests and hobbies are arts and crafts, family time,
volleyball, and board games.
